Refund Policy

At Wear The Whimsy, each piece is preloved and carefully selected with you in mind. Because we sell one-of-a-kind, secondhand items, will review returns on a case-by-case basis should an issue arise.

 

1. Final Sale Policy

All purchases from Wear The Whimsy are final sale. Due to the nature of vintage and secondhand clothing, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:

  • Fit or sizing issues

  • Buyer’s remorse or change of mind

  • Minor signs of wear, vintage character, or pre-owned condition disclosed in listings

Please check all descriptions and measurements carefully before purchasing.

 

2. Order Issue Review (Wrong Item / Major Flaw)

If there is a mistake with your order  such as a wrong item sent or a significant undisclosed flaw we are happy to review it.

To be eligible for review:

  • You must contact us within 3 days of delivery

  • Your email must include your order number and a clear description of the issue

  • You must upload at least 3 clear, unedited photos showing:

    • The full item

    • The flaw or concern (e.g., rip, stain, wrong size)

    • The packaging/shipping label if relevant

Without these images, we will be unable to process a refund, store credit, or resolution.

3. Freebies & Bonus Items

We occasionally include small gifts or bonus items in your order. These are not eligible for refund or replacement. For legal clarity:

  • Freebies are complimentary and not covered under warranty

  • Wear The Whimsy is not liable for allergic reactions, sizing issues, or other problems associated with gifted items

 

4. Refund Method

If your refund request is approved (due to a verifiable issue), you may receive:

  • Store credit

  • Or a partial or full refund to your original payment method

 

Shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.

 

5. Package Loss or Delay

We are not responsible for packages lost or delayed after shipment has been scanned in by USPS or the carrier. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for instructions on filing a claim with the carrier.
